2025 NMMLA Presidents Welcome

Dear Members and Affiliates of the New Mexico Mortgage Lenders Association,

As President of the New Mexico Mortgage Lenders Association, it is my pleasure to welcome you to another exciting year. Our association thrives because of the commitment and collaboration of professionals like you, and I am honored to lead an organization that plays a vital role in shaping the mortgage industry in our great state.

This year, one of our primary focuses will be monitoring housing-related legislation at both the federal and state levels. With New Mexico’s current 60-day legislative session underway, we are paying close attention to any developments that may impact our industry. Rest assured, your Board of Directors and legislative committee are dedicated to advocating for policies that support sustainable housing while protecting the interests of our members and the communities we serve. We will keep you informed and engaged through timely updates and opportunities to participate in these important conversations.

In addition to our legislative efforts, we remain committed to bringing you relevant and valuable education. Our goal is to ensure that all members and affiliates have access to the knowledge and tools necessary to navigate the ever-changing mortgage landscape. Whether through seminars, webinars, or guest speakers at our luncheons, we will continue to provide resources that enhance your expertise and add value to your professional endeavors.

Of course, we cannot forget the events that bring us together to network, unwind, and give back. Stay tuned for information for our highly anticipated annual golf tournament—a fun-filled day where business relationships and camaraderie are built on the green. Furthermore, I am especially proud of our annual charitable event, our Annual First Responders Teddy Bear and Blanket Drive. This initiative allows us to come together as a community and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children across New Mexico.
